Take the opportunity for limited availability high adventure Night Time Varmint Hunt(s) with Aaron Radney, a retired SWAT sniper who presented at our DWWC meeting last summer. See Aaron on Facebook under Tactical Pursuit Inc. for more information, pictures and videos! Coyotes and Bobcats are ‘called-in’ to close range or up to 100 yards. Hogs are hunted by scanning fields then stalking on foot from downwind until a shot can be taken. On a typical hunt, one might expect available shots at 3 or 4 coyotes, a bobcat and a hog! All hunts are done at night starting at pre-arranged meeting locations near DFW. Hunts include knowledgeable guides and top notch High Rack equipment on 4WD vehicle(s). When: Saturday Night - March 23. Meet at dark. Status: Booked by DWWC for March 23 (very limited availability) Who: # of Hunters : *Two (2) per trip * If more than 2 hunters are interested, DWWC can: 1) arrange for a 2nd separate hunt on same night (or other night tbd), or 2) arrange or a follow along 2nd vehicle on 3/23 with rotation hunters (only two shooters allowed at a time). June 7th Lake Texoma Striper Fishing

June 7th Lake Texoma Striper Fishing

Who said you must travel afar for saltwater fish. Striped Bass common to Chesapeake Bay thrive in the natural fishery that is Lake Texoma, one of the top Striper fisheries in the world! By our fishing date in early June, the Striper’s are expected to have returned from successful spawning on the Red River, and are back in the lake in a post-spawn pattern… with nothing but FOOD on their minds now. This will be a Live Bait with optional lure fishing excursion. We will catch lots of fish! We will be fishing with Brian Prichard of Stripers Inc. His motto is to treat you like family and provide you with the best experience possible during your trip. We will not be rushed back to the dock after a quick limit is caught. Whether your focus is to catch your limit, go for Big Striper, or land a mega Catfish, we will have a minimum ½ day (4-5 hours) on the water. Fish cleaning and bagging of your catch for your short trip home is provided. We have booked one boat with max capacity of 6 anglers. Once we reach 4 or 5 signups, we plan to book a 2nd boat and try to reach an ideal trip size of 8 to 10 anglers, or 4 to 5 per boat. Youth and spouses may come along. For those interested, Little Mineral Marina has some remodeled cabins available. Cabin sizes vary (based on availability at time of booking). This may be good for members wanting to arrive the night of June 6, supporting a wake-up call just next door to the boat dock. We will ask about this later. Plenty of hotels are also available in the Denison area. Please sign up early so we can plan accordingly. Who: Up to 10 spots available Where: We will meet our guide at Little Mineral Marina in Pottsboro TX When: Before sun up on Friday, June 7 - We chose a weekday to escape weekend crowds. Oct 11 Fall Texoma Striper Fishing using Large Top Water Lures

Oct 11 Fall Texoma Striper Fishing using Large Top Water Lures

Fall Striper Fishing using Large Topwater Lures It’s about watching the sunrise over the water. It’s about breathing in fresh air, and watching the light reflect off the waves, its about casting a five or six inch topwater plug up near the shore in search of a huge fish, its about seeing a ripple in the water near your slowly retrieving lure….then by a large Splash and BAM on the surface, the mayhem has started, the fight is on! Many huge Stripers are caught with topwater lures on Texoma every Fall Season measuring over 20”. This is high adventure fishing North Texas style! There’s nothing like catching big fish this way and October is the time to do it. This is stealthy fishing. We’ll have to be quiet as we approach the fishing areas so not to spook em. We chose a weekday so we don’t have boats following us and adding to our rumble level. We will be fishing with Brian Prichard of Stripers Inc. We’ll have a minimum ½ day (4-5 hours) on the water. Only two Stripers over 20” can be kept per angler. Depending on time and bite, we’ll go catch more frying pan fish before returning to doc. Fish cleaning and bagging of your catch for your short trip home is provided. We have booked one boat and are limiting ourselves to 4 anglers per boat in support of this type of fishing. Once we reach 4 signups, we plan to book a 2nd boat and try to reach an ideal trip size of 8 anglers. A second boat fishing at a different location helps guides as we can cell phone back and fourth on who is catching. For those interested in arriving the night before, Little Mineral Marina has cabins available, and Tanglewood Resort is close by. You might stay and do a round of golf after fishing. We will ask about your lodging plans later in case there are some common interests. Please sign-up early so we can plan accordingly.
